I use a fun way to learn rhythms and the value of music notes. As a guitar student, you can play many many songs with a chord box and never really have to read actual music. So when the time comes to either take exams or develop your skills, it can sometimes come as a bit of a shock to be reading music.
I have designed some music notes flash cards for you to download and print at home. All you need to do is cut up the cards. If you print double-sided these can be used as study cards. I printed 4 copies and laminated and now have a deck of cards which prove a fun addition to my guitar lessons
- A useful resource for music teachers
- Play games with the music theory cards
- Get students to make up their own rhythm
